Pegah Anvarian won the hearts of some of Hollywood's chicest celebs (Cameron Diaz, Nicole Richie, Charlize Theron) before shuttering her 5-year-old namesake label last fall. But clearly nobody fell harder for the designer's supple draped jerseys and edgy denims than execs at Three Dots; the great t shirt and clothing company based in Long Beach. The brand famous for its super-soft T's, recently tapped Anvarian as creative director. Anvarian is a Los Angeles-based designer who had her own line from 2002 to 2008 of highly modern designs that balanced hard (leather) and soft (woven fabrics) in a very modern L.A. way, that looked quite European as well. She stepped in as Creative Director of Three Dots in November of 2008, and the fall collection that’s trickling into stores like Ambiance right now is the first full collection that she has created for the brand we all know and love.

"I'm really focused on making the line fashion forward," says the 35-year-old Iranian-American, who grew up in Richardson, Texas and began her fashion career as a stylist for the B-52s.
"I wanted to build pieces that could easily be mixed with designer separates."

Q. "So Pegah, what's the fall 'hot item' must have?"

A. "There’s a seamless legging for fall that’s thicker than Wolford, but you don’t have to squeeze into them, the way you do with Spanx. They retail for about 60 bucks. Wolford ones retail for $250 to $380. I wear them to go to yoga, and they don’t rip, and you can also wear them as tights with boots. Fantastic!"
